Autumn 2026 · Field notes

A slower harvest

This year's cut ran ten days late. We waited for the trichomes to turn milky and for the mornings to cool. It paid off — more resin, more cedar, a bit of citrus we didn't have last year.

Three weeks in glass

Curing is the slow part. Buds sit in glass jars — opened once a day the first week, twice a week after that. Humidity settles, the greens deepen, the smell sharpens up.

Trimmed by hand

Every bud is finished by hand. A machine takes off too much. We leave the sugar leaves that protect the trichomes and only cut what dulls the flower.
